Synopsis

Domestic Crimes

Oh, Oh, Oh, Who killed the beautiful maid?
Was the kitchen or the house?
Was she killed by the domestic labor?
Was that the job of a serial killer?
Was that a “hysterical” suicide?

This video displays some of the chapters of the Domestic Crimes video series, inspired by the American media and the domestic life.

It also refers to the history of representation of the female body, with versions both nude and dressed like in the famous Majas of Francisco Goya. It ironically quotes different images in the art history.

Teddy

A man is playing with a teddy bear as if it were a ball. The teddy bear is delicate and it is being used as the traditional ball used in soccer game, subverting in this way the macho male stereotype. This is also a playful display of sexuality.
